Marinella Pirozzi, as a microscopy specialist provides all of the Institute investigators with the latest imaging technologies, such as wide-field, fluorescence and confocal microscopy, live imaging, image acquisition, digital image analysis as basic and advanced applications (deconvolution, 3D rendering), and the expertise of using these tools. She provides technical assistance for the use of optical basic and advanced light microscopy instrumentations; provides consultation and training to use the various techniques of light and fluorescence microscopy, image analysis and processing and data transfer and storage; performs independent and collaborative preparations and analysis of specimens for electron microscopy. She has expertise in the realization of the services of the Facility, for the planning process and experiments, for the control and for the evaluation of the results; organization of the imaging service carried out for researchers by managing requests for access to the Facility, identifying their priorities and feasibility; management of the Facility's imaging equipment; coordination, direction and execution of the experimental application in the choice of tools and methodologies to achieve the objectives of the service and responsibility for their achievement; care of relations with users; resolution of any service management problems and proposals for corrective measures.
