My research experience includes a wide range of molecular, cellular and biochemical techniques. Currently, I am involved in two main research activities, namely i)study of signaling pathways in membrane trafficking and in cancer biology and ii) study of the host-virus interactions occurring during infection. Using advanced biochemical and cell biological techniques, I am specifically focusing on the role played by mono-ADP-ribosylation (MARylation) in cancer cells, through the identification of specific targets controlled by this post-translational modification.

On the other hand, I am involved in research studies related to the role of MARylation in viral infection. Indeed, the role played by MARylation during viral entry and in the identification of cellular and viral targets controlled by this post-translational modification is an important focus for finding ways to limit viral infection and/or reduce disease severity associated with the virus.

In parallel, my expertise has revealed to be useful in administrative activities of the laboratory and therefore I hold the role of lab manager.
