A postdoctoral position is available in Biophotonics and Advanced Microscopy Lab, at IEOS-CNR under the supervision of Dr. Anna Chiara De Luca. The candidate will join a project focused on development of correlative microscopies for Cancer imaging. The main objective of the project is to combine Raman Spectroscopy (RS), Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS), and Tip enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS) in order to provide fast and reliable procedures for early cancer diagnosis.
Job description:
The fellow will be responsible for:
- Operation and development of the Raman/SERS microscope for cancer imaging;
- Data analysis and methodologies;
- Synthesis, functionalization and optical characterization of plasmonic devices.
The project requires the candidates to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- PhD
- At least two publications in a peer-reviewed journal
- Very good knowledge in physics/optics and biochemistry but keen to perform biological cell culture;
- Experience with Raman spectroscopy and Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS);
- Experience in statistical analysis.
